The topic of sustainability and conscious travel is a very complex one. For this reason, we have put together some initial ideas for product planning.
The topic of sustainability in tourism has many aspects and we would like to give you a few suggestions for your product concept for a new or existing travel package to Sweden, showing how the topic can be incorporated in a very practical way:
- ADDED VALUE for customers, partners and the local community
- Combination of nature + culture + culinary arts (regional focus)
- Innovative ‘extras’ (e.g. experience modern Swedish lifestyle - products, design) = typically Swedish
- Highlighting climate-friendly travel options to and in the destination, e.g. train + public transport, walking or cycling
- Travel package (also) promotes travel in the low season (spring and/or autumn) and offers options for extending the stay
- Sustainability is made visible and tangible for the guest, e.g. through tours/tastings/easy-to-understand labelling
- Accommodation with sustainable efforts, e.g. certifications or other commitments
- Focus on local networks (e.g. when selecting activity providers, tour guides)Accessibility (e.g. mobility, languages)
