Gotlandsbolaget buys M/S Birka Stockholm
Spring 2023: Gotlandsbolaget (Destination Gotland) has bought M/S Birka Stockholm with the plan to start tax-free cruises between Stockholm, Åland and Gotland from spring 2024. M/S Birka Stockholm can take approximately 1800 passengers and is a vessel without a car deck. Update: Summer 2023 Gotlandsbolaget sold 50% to Viking Line, creating a new company to handle these cruises.
