Sweden does not have a national sustainability certification programme for the hospitality industry. However, various certification labels for accommodation are widely recognised and commonly used. Here are a few examples.

  • Nature's Best

    Sweden’s only sustainability certification for nature experiences, including accommodation offerings, meeting standards recognised by the GSTC from 2023.

  • Responsible Tourism Västerbotten

    The initiative for sustainable experiences based on the GSTC criteria, formerly known as ‘Västerbotten Experience’, will be further developed in 2025.
