New direct flights to Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Dalarna - winter 2025/2026
This winter season, getting to the heart of the Scandinavian mountains will be easier than ever. Travellers from across Europe will be able to fly directly to Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Dalarna, Sweden – a gateway to the popular ski destinations Sälen (Sweden) and Trysil (Norway).
Starting on 6 December 2025, EasyJet will introduce two new weekly routes from London Gatwick and Manchester. Operating every Saturday throughout the winter season, these flights will offer British skiers a smooth and convenient journey to one of Scandinavia’s top winter regions. The initiative is part of a five-year partnership with regional stakeholders, designed to boost international tourism and improve access to the Swedish-Norwegian border area.
TUI is also expanding its operations to Scandinavian Mountains Airport. Building on their established collaboration, TUI will offer winter flights from London Gatwick, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam and Brussels between December and March/April, giving travellers from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium more flexibility and reach.
With short transfer times from the airport to the slopes and enhanced air connectivity from multiple European markets, tour operators now have even stronger reasons to include Dalarna in their winter 2025/2026 programmes. These developments support broader efforts to position Sweden as a top destination for sustainable and authentic Scandinavian winter experiences.
